It was her freshman year in high school when she picked up a book written by SE Hinton. Though she didn't know it at the time, The Outsiders would become her favorite book of all time, and the inspiration behind her dream of writing.

The Adventures of Happy Valley Glen is part of the Life Lessons through Literature series. The Raccoon Family Moves In is the first book, and teaches the acceptance of diversity in today's culture. The moral of the story is from the old saying "Never judge a book by its cover."
